Looking for advice. I took a class in Pro Tools, so I purchased an M-box and Pro Tools LE 7.1. I am a total beginner when it comes to being a recording engineer, and at 52 years of age, not the most computer savvy person. I recently acquired Sonar 7 producers and was wondering how it compares to Pro Tools and if it might be harder, easier, or the same to understand and learn? Just curious if I'm better off leaving it in the box or if I can use this to master once I get more experience.
Thanks for the advice.

Dan:

They're comparable in every way as far as features are concerned.

I'm a Sonar user and I thoroughly recommend it. I find the layout simpler and more intuitive and it does absolutely everything on earth you could want to do.

Getting started with a few simple tracks is very easy, the help is good, there are great video tutorials out there and the program is stable.

PM me if you need help.
