Verson 8 Midi and the Roland TD-20 playback problem

Postby rmandelbaum » Wed Apr 13, 2005 4:36 pm

I have Cakewalk version 8 patched to 8.04. It is running on my IBM ThinkPad t40 with a midisport USB interface. I am recording the MIDI out from my Roland TD-20 drum module. It records fine. When I play back I hear nothing. I have spent a hour on the phone with Roland, they can't figure it out. They think it is a cake walk issue. I can take the same output and connect it to a cheap Casio keyboard and it works fine. I also can take that same Casio keyboard and plug it into the Roland and trigger keyboard sounds. I have tried all channels, swapping outputs and cables, all of the obvious stuff, nothing.

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.
