Have just bought a USB-MIDI interface (M-Audio UNO) to connect my Yamaha P70 stage piano to my computer, because even though my old keyboard seemed to work with just midi cables and my Audigy 2, this new one doesn't ... meh.

Anyway, I've managed to get MIDI going in and out, but there's something not quite right about it. When I play notes, there's always a very hollow echo going on and a lot of the notes don't seem to register. I have tried recording stuff and have studied the event log, and it seems that for every note I play, I get about 3/4 C0 notes being registered as well.

It seems to get worse the more notes I play, or the faster I play.

I'm a bit of a MIDI n00b, I'm afraid, but I have managed to ensure I've got local control turned off, and I can't see any other obvious options in my keyboard setup to stop this happening. I'd really welcome any advice anyone has, please.

I dunno if these will help ...
