POD 2.0 MIDI Connection

I am having trouble using my POD in Sonar. I have it connected to the computer through a 2x2 Midisport (USB connection) and it works fine with the deep tone transfer. I believe I have the right input and output settings, but nothing I can do shows any data being transmitted. (MIDI input/output activity lights aren't on and no sound is being received by the program). Any and all help is appreciated.
