I have some qs?

First I am very new to MIDI. I have a delta 1010lt card that i use for audio inputs. I want to create drums maps using MIDI in sonar however I cant figure out how to use a software synth and get playback through my audio outputs at the same time. I would like to keep the MIDI in the computer and not use a controller at all if possible. If anyone can help me if they could email me it would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of Sonar are you using?

Tutorials 8 and 9 in the Sonar 2 help menu explain all about drum maps and using softsynths. They are fairly large topics to cover on here so give the tutorials a try.
