can only midi out one channel

:?: Hi, I'm new here. I recently aquired a Techics SX-AX7 synth from a friend for my birthday. I'm using Cakewalk Audio Pro 9.00 and a SBPCI128 sound card. When ever I load a midi song and try to play it I have to change all instruments to channel 1 in order to hear them on my synth. Is this actually a problem or is it normal?

It looks like this is an issue with the keyboard. Checking the specs on it and it sends midi only on one channel so I assume it can only recieve on one channel.

It will make a good controller keyboard, you will have to play back through another module, soft synth or soundcard.
