No Sound When Linking to Fruity loops 5

Can anyone help i have been trying to figure out why i cant get my fruityloops dxi plugin to return the sound to sonar.
i want to import a midi file into sonar 4 then assign fruity loops sounds to each channel.
i insert the dxi into the fx loop on a auidio track and assign the relevent track to it the sound registers on the output indicator in the plugin but i cant hear it ?
