Why was the DR-008 removed from the Sonar?

Why did they take out the DR-008 drum synth, and what did they replace it with? Seems like there should be some sort of drum synth on the Sonar 5 producer to make it a complete recording software.

The DR-008 included with Sonar was only ever the light version. If you wanted to carry it on into other versions then you had to buy the proper version.

Now Cyclone is the one to use. It not only plays one shots but you can use it to trigger loops.

Personaly I prefer BFD or my drum machine but if I am looking for something different then a set of samples loaded into a sampler will work just as well.

The Natural Studios NS Kit7 free is a good one to start with. There are some mappings for sonar and patches for different samplers knocking around.
