sonar 6 and ua-1ex: can't record midi into audio

bought recently an edirol ua-1ex and after installing it i couldn't record my midi tracks into an audio track in sonar 6 PE. i can bounce many audio tracks into 1 audio track but can't record midi tracks although midi plays ok. i'm trying to use sint software tab sons wave MS G and ASIO at 24/96. what's going wrong?
please help.
