HELP! TRYING TO CONVERT A MIDI TRACK TO AN AUDIO TRACK. I PURCHASED THE BOOK SONAR POWER WHICH GIVES DETAILED INTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CONVERT. BUT THE BOOK USES THE SOUNDBLASTER LIVE SOUND CARD AS AN EXAMPLE. USELESS TO ME, BECAUSE I HAVE AN AUDIOPHILE 2496 SOUNDCARD. SO IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS THIS SAME CARD AND IS ABLE TO CONVERT MIDI TO AUDIO PLEASE HOLLA BACK.

If you have an Audiophile 24/96 then you don't have midi on board your card. You must be playing midi through a soft synth like the edirol VSC or something similar.

If that's the case just solo the tracks you want to convert, including the audi track your sofsynth is on and go to the edit menu and select Bounce to tracks. This will then 'boumce' all your midi data selected to a stereo audio file.

I use the 2496 cards on my PC/Sonar 3.0 & MAC/Logic Platinum 6 & Andychap is correct. Actually, the bounce to track is completed within the Program, & you just hear it thru your soundcard. That Audiophile 2496 is a superb soundcard for the cost & the capabilities to record, analog, SPDIF, & midi all at once. Wildman
