Sonar 2.2 XL and Strange Midi Problem

I have a interesting midi problem in Sonar 2.2XL. Set up is a P4 Intel system with 512MB RAM using the M-Audio Ozone as an I/O device and Roland VSC as a Midi play back function. I generate my Keybd and Drum tracks in Band in a Box and save them as a midi file. I bring this into Sonar and it plays just fine. Now I insert an audio track and arm it for recording. As soon as I start the recording the midi tracks jump octaves, but only in sound not in any of the settings. I can set the keybd to a -12 to lower it back to the proper ocatve, but the drum track gets really screwed up. I'm new with Sonar and have just ordered the Sonar 3 upgrade which I hope doesn't display this type of behavior. Any ideas??
Thanks.

I don't think the problem with the keyboard. I think it is a problem with BIAB and the Edirol VSC, I have noticed this myself. There must be something in the settings in BIAB because they actually use it as a midi out in the program.

One way round it is to set up Sonar as the out put in BIAB. You will need to download a virtual midi cable like Mid Yoke, Midi OX or Hubi's Loopback. Then set your midi out device in BIAB to one of the virtual out and set your midi in in Sonar to the same virtual cable. Open a new project with sixteen midi tracks and arm them all. Press record in Sonar (nothing will happen) now bring back band in the box and press play. Sonar will automatically record all the tracks.

When you have finished recording the midi track delete all the tracks not used and start up the VSC, this time it should work.

It's only the VSC that it seems to have a problem with, Edirol Hypercanvas and Superquartet work fine.
