I have just installed Sonar, with the M-Audio Quattro.
If I record, I see the meter move for the audio input from
the quattro box. On playback, I see the channel meter move
and also the Master Volume move, but no audio out of the speakers.
If I play a sample project, music comes out of the speakers.

Help - New user, can't hear playback.
Your speakers aren't connected properly, or the volume is turned down.
Make sure your speakers are connected properly and the volume is turned up.
Your sound card isn't hooked up correctly.
Run the Microsoft Sound Recorder (Start-Programs-Accessories-Multimedia-Sound Recorder). Open any wave file and see if it plays sound correctly through your speakers. If not, check your sound card documentation to make sure the card is properly installed and configured.
The volume setting is turned down on your software mixer.
Double-click on the yellow speaker icon in the Windows task bar to display the mixer, and make sure all the volume settings are turned up and that none are muted.
Your audio tracks are assigned to the wrong output.
Check the output assignment for your audio tracks in the Track pane.
SONAR doesn't recognize your sound card.
Choose Options-Audio, click the General tab, and then click the Wave Profiler button to test your audio hardware. Then, re-open the bundle file and try again.
Try these from the Sonar help files first.

Make sure that the input for the track you are recording (in the Track view) is set to an Audio input before recording.
