Hey all,

I just got Sonar 3 Producer Edition, and my Session Drummer does not work, and the metronome which I need, also does not play. I know it has something to do with the midi output or input, etc... Please Help!

I have a Sound Blaster Extigy USB sound card.

it is possible you have not set up your midi devices in cakewalk - go to tools, midi devices... to do this. for midi out, you'll probably want to choose the one that says 'soundblaster [something or other] synth a' and click move to top if it isn't there already. also, you should check your soundblaster setup - if you are using soundfonts for midi (which is undoubtedly the case as rom samples seem to have disappeared with the awe64) make sure one of the standard soundfont banks is loaded. i don't know what tools they are shipping with the extigy, but you should find it in the creative section under your programs menu.

Try just reinstalling the Midi FX from the installation CD and that should correct the session drummer problem.
