I have just bought a new HP Pavilion computer with Windows XP Home and an Audigy 2 ZS sound card. The sound card is embedded in the motherboard and has no serial port. It has 2 USB ports in front. I bought an M-Audio 1x1 UNO USB cable and installed it and its driver. I can't get any information to go between the keyboard and the sound card, even though the USB cable indicator shows that the two are connected. HP tech support, Yamaha tech support, and M-Audio tech support have not been able to solve the problem.

Does anyone know if I need a new Yamaha driver in addition to the USB cable driver? Is there a problem with the sound card?

And can anyone walk me through Cakewalk MIDI configuration (beyond what's in Help so I can find out if it's the sound card or the software or some simple little thing I can click to establish a usable interface?

thanks....
