Hi everyone,

I'm a new cakewalk user and this is my first post in the forum. My band is using it for the purpose of pre-production. We just wanna lay down a bunch of tracks and see which songs we like best. Not looking for perfection, just a decent mix that we can have to listen to. Now, I had no problem recording my drummer's tracks, but now I'm having an issue recording the guitar tracks. I've mic'd up my mesa boogie dual rec with a mixer and am recording from the mixer (using the 'recording out' attachment) to my computer through my soundcard. Here's the problem: The sound does come through and it does record. However, when I record, the decibel level/volume drops after a few measures. Basically, it records the first measure or two at a higher volume than the rest of the track. Does anyone know why it's doing this and how to correct this problem?

thanks,

sacha
