I can not get my keyboard (yamaha clavinova clp820) to play any patches from creator3 except for the voices which are included in the piano. I would have thought that the sound generator in the piano would play anything it was told via MIDI commands and not be limited to only voices it can play on its own. ie I can select 'piano' or 'organ' or 'strings' from the cakewalk patch list and they will work but anything else I try it simply defaults to piano. A yamaha tech told me this was the case but I sure can't get there. Anyone who has encountered this or a similar problem...your input appreciated. or if youre just a midi wiz that happens to know....thats cool too

If you use the keyboard as the play back device then all you will get is the half a dozen voices and the variations that are on the piano.

If you use you computer as the play back device then you can load up the Edirol VSC DXi (see manual or help file for tutorial) and then you can select any of the voices contained in that.

To play the voices live using the keyboard to trigger them, you will need a fairly decent soundcard to get over the latency problem you will get and some decent speakers connected to the computer. If you are using a basic soundcard or onboard sound then I would suggest downloading the ASIO4ALL drivers and select them for use in Music Creator 3.
