Error Message

I've had Cakewalk Home Studio installed on my computer for quite a while. It's always worked fine until very recently. Seemingly out of nowhere, it started displaying an error message everytime I try to start the program.
More frustrating is that it's one of those generic white-boxed messages that says "Cakewalk has experience a problem and needs to close"
This happened a few years back and I had a friend who managed to get it to stop and said it had something to do with some program or setting preventing Cakewalk from opening.
I have not changed any setting, moved any files, or changed anything about the program
Any suggestions? I desperately need to get into the program and do some work!
