Problem with panning

Postby Guest / new user » Fri Feb 20, 2004 1:05 pm

Help! Using Sonar 2.0, crystal wdm soundcard, the midi tracks will pan left and right fine...but the audio tracks, even though showing panned on the track or console view, stay in center. I thought it might have something to do with how I recorded audio into the computer but the same problem exists when I tried it with the tutorial tracks that came with the program. Any ideas would be appreciated

If you are using Sonar 2 make sure you get the free updates to 2.1 and 2.2. It will help a lot.

When you record your audio decide which way you are going to pan it and then record it on that side input in the input options in the track pane. If you have already recorded them as stereo tracks try bouncing them down to a mono track and then you will be able to pan fully left and right.
