I'm using Cakewalk Express 8. I just recorded part of a song, and I messed around with some of the velocity values. As an experiment, I set all velocities except two measures at the end to 127. Then, on the graph in the Piano Roll view, I made a downwards diagonal "fade-out" line for the last two measures. However, here's the problem: The velocity changes get softer but aren't extreme enough. The ending notes are softer at a velocity of 1, but can be heard clear as day, and I want my song to fade out to silence.....

I haven't been using Cakewalk very long, so there is probably a way to fix this.....any help would be GREATLY appreciated.....

If any clarification on anything is needed, just ask.....

maby this will help;

velocity let's you remap the function which maps the strength you hit the key to the volume the note plays.

try turning down the volume also...

Why don't you record your midi as audio and use a fade out?
