I've been thinking on upgrading to sonar 3 and try the demo version first
but my sonar 2.2 xl has been working very stable and i'm wondering if I
run them both, will there be any conflict between them?
such as if i decide i dont like it and uninstall, will it remove
certain things in 2.2 that i dont want to lose
like plugins or audio data
will it use the same project file folders?
if anyone has tried this, please let me know how it worked for you
and what to expect or not to expect
thanks a bunch

No .......I run both 2.2 and producer 3 on the same system with no problems....they are seperate programs so......if you uninstall either it shouldnt bother the other.....but trust me if you uninstall either one it will be 2.2.....later

Stratman,
You can run both as stated above, however there are some plugins in Sonar 2.2 that are not included with SOnar 3. You will lose them. I am not completely sure as to what ones they are as I went from PA9 to Sonar 3, Cakewalk's site has a bit more info about this, you may want to check it out!

I have been running both 2.2 and sonar 3. I tried the demo, and had to go out and buy a copy. what a great piece of software!! as for the plugins that 2.2 has that sonar 3 doesnt have isnt a great loss. Besides, i found them elsewhere and reinstalled them into producer 3 and not missing a beat.
The individual channel band shelving is a great improvement, among other things. I wondered why it wasnt available before.
I highly recomend the upgrade. thanks everyone for your input
