Does anyone know why I get small clicks/glitches when mixing down PA8?
Doesn't matter whether going to internal tracks or out to soundforge, it's not a level issue as I've sorted that and it doesn't clip the internal digital mix at all. Most noticeable in a semi-quiet section. They are tiny glitches which I can see in soundforge zoomed in, but while playing they are inaudible/not there yet.

Thanks, Andy

If your sure that it isn't coming from within the computer, things like programs running in the background, screen savers, AV software or task schedulers then it might be something outside.

Try looking for things that are plugged into the same ring main as the computer. Common ones that causes glithes are fridges, central heating timers, air conditioning, in fact anything that clicks on and off on it's own.

If you are on broadband, disconnect from the internat whilst recording. If you are on dial up disconnect your modem if other members of the house are using the phone.

You have to make your recording environment as isolated as possible both inside the PC and outside.
