Ok here is the problem I hope that someone can help me out with this.

I can record a guitar track no problem. When I go to record a second guitar track it records the second guitar track but re-records the first one that I did on the same track. If I keep layering tracks it keeps re-recording them as well.

Any idea what I need to do???

Have a quick look through the forum and you will see this problem answered many times before.

Maybe we should ask for a FAQ section.

The main suggestion I found was to make sure that I am not listening to the playback with the same channel that I am recording with. I will make sure that I am not doing that.

If you go into your soundcard recording properties, by double clicking the volume icon in the taskbar, make sure only the check box for the source you are recording from is checked. Do not leave the 'What U Hear' or 'Wave' box checked.

Obviously if you are recording through a microphone you will have to monitor your first track through headphones as you record.

I have a Soundblaster Audigy soundcard. I can´t find where to do that.

This is the same problem as I have. May be Cakewalk should do anything about this, cause it is a big problem.
