Ritard and accellerando

I'm doing a fairly simple project using Cakewalk Express (came on the CD with my MIDI interface) as a sequencer.

My question is this: is there a simple way to add gradual tempo changes such as ritards and accellerandos? The only way I can see to do it is to insert a series of tempo changes over the span of the measures I want which seems terrible time-consuming. I thought there might be a simpler way that I'm missing, but documentation on this software is slim.

Any help would be much appreciated!

well

if its really complex this probably wont work, but there is a program called PowerTab and its has accel and ritard on it. you'd have to program in all that you wanted, but i dont know what instruments you're using.

i also wanted this feature too, however, i just wanted to slow down the whole music... like warp it... like a tape was eating it. i cant find that anywhere. you'd they would be able to develop that.

slow down ratio, time contrait, exponantial curve, percent... just like a volume swell... oh well

I don't know about Cakewalk Express but in Sonar you can draw tempo changes in from the View menu > tempo. It might be the same.

This is where logic and now Magix Music Studio have the advantage with their hyperdraw facility.
