Hi,

I've been advised that my music would benefit from some compression, and before I go rushing out spending more money, I thought I'd try the Timeworks compressor that came with Sonar.

Unfortunately it is not mentioned in the manual or online help.

Does anyone have any advise re. what settings to try etc., as just tweaking it by trial and error has such a subtle effect I don't really think I'm getting anywhere.

Thanks,

Emma

i have found is that subtle differences is what you want"compression on top of compression on top of compression" small differences in each is what you need ... start subtle and end subtle.. and in the finish you should have a good compressed sound..a lot of mistakes are made by over compressing at once creating distortion or an over squeezed sound
try a subtle compression thru to main out then add another subtle compression and you might be suprised of the sound of the overall compressed sound Good Luck
