Vocals in a MIDI file? Are they sampled vocals that got downloaded with the file? Usually vocals aren't in a MIDI file, as MIDI is only a set of instructions to tell a soundcard or module what and how to play. At any rate, are all the MIDI tracks seperate (Type 1), or they merged into one (Type 0)? If they are merged you might try converting them to seperate tracks. Just out of curiosity, please post a link to the site that you downloaded the file, so it may be inspected. That may be the best way to get to the bottom of this.
