This has to do with Homestudio 2002. Before I was running it on Windows 98 and things were fine, but then I decided to get a new hard drive and then upgraded to Windows 2000. Well when I reinstalled Cakewalk I have been having problems with my MIDI. Things seem to be setup the way I had them. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled, but to no avail. The problem is that I am recording a MIDI track along with a metronome and part of what I have played gets cut off and does not even align with the measures. Then when I tried to record a second MIDI track that does not even align with the previous recorded track and still don't align with the measures. I don't get it. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Sounds like Home studio has defaulted to the wrong sync. Check the sync buttons and make sure the midi sync button is selected.

They are on the sync toolbar. Check the view menu > toolbars and make sure the sync option is checked, this will show the sync buttons.
