Hi...
I am interested in purchasing the new Guitar Tracks Pro 3.
Was wondering :
-Do I need to purchase a pre-amp to plug in an electric guitar before going into the PC/soundcard?
-Should I just plug a (dynamic) mic into the mic input on a (18-bit full duplex) sound card...or is it reccommended that I put the mic through a pre-amp before the PC?

Yep pre amps are best or a small mixer with pre amps. If you plug into the mic socket on a soundcard you will be disappointed they are generally only good enough for multi media mics.
