I've seen this question posted many times and the answer is always the same, but it won't work on my computer. When I record an additional audio tract, what has already been recorded on other tracks records on the new track. After awhile it gets to be a real mess. Cakewalk said that I needed to do the "What You Hear" thing and I followed their directions, but there was no such button on my recording volume control. I let them know this and they said that I would need to contact my sound card manufacturer which I did. They did not have a clue. I am using a Realtec AC97 sound card built into the mother board of my computer and, of course I need to use input monitoring. Do I need to purchase and install a different sound card? Somebody please help.
