Here's my problem. If I load a drum map and a synth, I can play and hear the sounds if I use my computer's internal soundcard as the output (the sound comes through my computer speakers). However, if I try to use my audio interface (Edirol FA-66) as the output, I get nothing through my headphones or monitors. (This makes no sense because I can load a synth or VST and it comes through my interface loud and clear.) As another example, I can hear the SONAR sample file "downtown.cwp" using my internal soundcard, but not through my interface. Any ideas? I don't want to have to monitor from two separate sources.
Thanks!
Sound from computer soundcard but not from interface.
I know on my system my Edirol PCR1 is problematic without the onboard soundcard being disabled.
In the end I disabled it in the BIOs and uninstalled the drivers, since then I have had no problems. It is a bit of a bummer because I liked to use the on board chips 5.1 surround facility for DVDs now I have to make do with plain old stereo
Might be the only way for you to go as well.
