I have another question, though I guess nobody is monitoring this forum much... I have recorded a MIDI performance that I want to loop to another track as an audio performance. I have taken the output of my digital piano and put that into the line in of my sound card. I am hearing the piano through my computer's speakers but it's not getting to Cakewalk no matter what combination of ports and sources I try. Any thoughts?
Assuming your using Windows XP...
In the control panel of your PC select the Sounds/Speech and Audio devices icon then select Sounds and Audio Devices.
Click the Audio Tab. make sure the Sound recording section has your sound card selected. If I then click Volume then Options I get a list of different input sources I can Select.
Sometimes there is a "Record what you hear" option available (depending on sound card). I normally set this then as long as you can hear the sound it gets recorded
